伝統的な文化・芸術のリサーチを行いながら、現代に必要とされる文化のエッジを生み出すことを目指す。
音楽制作を中心に、コンサート、舞台公演、ワークショプ、展示などの企画・開催を行っている。レーベルとしての作品発表に向けても進行中。
2014年より東京を拠点に活動を開始し、2017年より長野県松本市を拠点としている。

Kimiya Sato
音楽家、作曲家、歌手。
北海道生まれ。シュルレアリスムの影響から幼少より画家を志し、後に音楽へ転向。
多彩な声の表現に加え、ビオラ等の弦楽器、各種の打楽器、稀に鍵盤楽器も奏する。
越境的な室内楽を得意とし、映画音楽、舞台音楽、即興パフォーマンス、地域に密着したプロジェクトも手がける。
ソロの他、バンド「表現(Hyogen)」、デュオ「3日満月」などで活動し、子供たちとのワークショップ「音のてらこや」や、プロジェクト「Torus Vil.」を主催。
東京藝術大学音楽環境創造科在学中より東京都を拠点に活動し、2017年より長野県松本市を拠点に活動中。
Musician, Composer, Singer.
Born in Hokkaido, Japan. As a child a keen interest in surrealism fed his aspiration to be an artist; which later turned into a desire to become a musician.
Early exposure to his grandmothers shigin (a type of Japanese poetical singing), and personal experiences with the chanting in Buddhist temples and the hymnal singing in Christian churches has lead him to create and explore his own personal type of vocal expression.
He also plays stringed instruments such as the viola, various percussion instruments, and keyboard instruments.
He specialises in cross-border chamber music, film music, stage music, improvised performances and community-based projects.
In addition to his solo work, he is active in the band “Hyogen” and the duo “Mikka-Mangetsu”, and organises workshops with children called “Oto no Terakoya” and the project “Torus Vil.
He has been based in Tokyo since he was a student of the Department of Musical Creativity and the Environment at Tokyo University of the Arts, and since 2017 he has been based in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
